When Anthony Scardina returned home from serving his country aboard a US Navy ship in World War II, he immediately began looking for an opportunity to further serve his community and country. In 1948, Anthony earned his Master’s Plumber’s License and began gaining valuable experience from several local plumbing firms. This experience not only made him an expert in plumbing, it gave him the tools he needed to start his own business just two short years later. In 1950, Scardina Plumbing was founded.
Scardina Plumbing’s current President is Jim Scardina, Anthony’s grandson. Jim has been working alongside his grandfather since the age of ten. In 1976, Jim officially joined Scardina Plumbing as a full-time plumber and is running the company, today, with the same family values that were passed down from his grandfather.
It’s no wonder that Scardina Plumbing and Heating is one of the most successful plumbing firms in Maryland. The Scardina family business is run with three very important values in mind – the importance of prompt, expert service, providing quality service, and fair pricing. These values have been passed down through the generations and are still very much a part of the way Scardina Plumbing does business.
Jim Scardina maintains an active role in the business. Working in the field daily, he spends his time supervising jobs, providing fair, honest estimates, ensuring great customer service, and maintaining the company’s unsurpassed reputation for excellence.
