C.A. Taciak & Sons was founded in 1940 by Frank Taciak's father Charles. At first, the main focus of the company lay in general construction, but by the 1960s Charles had taken his business through a full transition to backhoe work.

For several years after his graduation from Baltimore Polytechnic, Frank worked with his father in the backhoe business before moving to Brooklyn, NY where he worked as a machinist for 8 years at a large printing plant.

After that, Frank moved back to Baltimore and took over the family business. C.A. Taciak & Sons has steadily grown every year since then. The most important reason for this growth has been an ongoing education program that has helped our company better serve our customers.
